What changes website cost

Scope the system—not only the page count.

01

Distinct templates

Repeated pages cost less than unique layouts, states and content relationships that require separate design and QA.

02

Starting-point quality

A responsive approved system moves faster than a desktop concept or a brief that still needs structure and interface design.

03

Operational risk

Commerce, migration, integrations, incomplete content and slow approvals change the work around the visible interface.

The four possible routes

A useful estimate should also tell you when not to estimate.

The result uses published Oncreation packages where the scope is suitable and recommends discovery where an instant number would create false confidence.

Review a real brief
Is this website cost estimate a quotation?

No. It is a planning range based on the answers provided and Oncreation’s published delivery models. A quotation requires the actual brief, content, designs, functionality and dependencies to be reviewed.

Why does the estimator count page types instead of pages?

A website may contain many pages built from a few reusable templates. Design and development effort is influenced more by distinct layouts, behaviours and CMS relationships than by the published page count alone.

Why are Shopify projects estimated separately?

Shopify projects involve catalogue structure, checkout, merchant workflows, apps, migration and commerce-specific launch risk. Oncreation therefore uses a separate Shopify Partner plan.

Why do some results require discovery?

Custom applications, uncertain architecture and unusual integrations can change the delivery approach materially. Discovery is the responsible way to define those requirements before promising a price or date.
